L'industrie alimentaire utilise déjà des exhausteur de goûts et agents de sapidité, naturels ou chimiques, si judicieusement choisis et agencés, qu'ils créent, chez les enfants notamment, un début de relation compulsive de dépendance à l'égard de l'aliment (bonbons, apéritifs, fast-food, desserts, notamment)..
La TV annonçait discrètement il y a quelques semaines qu'un industriel US a été attaqué (et a perdu son procès si je me souviens bien), pour avoir tenté de produire et utiliser un tabac transgénique, modifié de manière à produire plus de Nicotine, afin d'encore accroître la dépendance du fumeur à l'égard de la cigarette. (on sait aussi que les industries du tabac - pour certaines au moins - dopaient le tabac à l'Ammoniac de manière à exacerber la dépendance du fumeur).
Qui contrôle quoi dans ce genre de situation ?
L'histoire nous montre que l'industrie alimentaire ne s'embarrasse pas toujours de scrupule ou d'éthique pour construire et/ou appliquer ses stratégies commerciales (cf. Nestlé, les marchands d'alcool, de sucre, ou de tabac, par ex)
A quand les aliments transformés en drogue dure… ?
- Quelqu'un a t il repéré dans la presse des précisions sur cette histoire de tabac OGM hyper-nicotineux ?

Il s'agit de la liste francophone consacrée à ce sujet. Elle est animée par des personnes qui militent contre les OGM, ce qui n'empêche pas en restant neutre, d'être journellement informé de l'actualité OGM et des liens vers des sites également pro-OGM grâce à ce forum.

je voudrais bien que l'on m'explique ce qu'il y a de nouveau sous le
soleil depuis les premiers agriculteurs et éleveurs ?
Quelle
est la différence entre le blé sauvage et le blé
que nous mangeons dont les gènes ont été
modifiés il y 10 000 ans pour donner un hybride. Quelle
différence y a t il entre le porc que nous mangeons et son
anc^tre le sanglier qui vit encore?
Regardez les gravure de porc
datant du moyen age et des photos de porc de nos jour je suis sur
qu'ils n'ont pas les mêmes gènes.
On peut être un grand esprit (ou se prétendre tel) et écrire des annerie. Le trophé de la semaine peut à coup sur être attribué à celui qui à écrit dans le dernier numéro de l'Expansion que les produits transgéniques ne peuvent pas être utilisé pour les semences.
Il n'a sans doute jamais utilisé un paquet de graines
acheté dans une jardinerie, car il aurait constaté que
ces
merveilleuse laitues, carottes, radis, obtenus ne pouvaient se
reproduire car ce sont des hibrides comme on en produit depuis des
siècles. La seule différence est le temps mis pour les
obtenir.
Il est vrai qu'il ajoute deux lignes plus loin que
malheureusement ces produits ne sont pas utiliser pour nourrir les
hommes (donc pas de lutte contre la faim) mais pour nourrir des
animaux, comme si les hommes ne mangeaient pas les animaux et qu'ils
les élevaient pour le plaisir !!

La différence
est considérable,c'est l'échelle de temps qui a permis
d'évaluer les effets et les non-effets à long
terme,soyons darwinistes un peu, qui a permis aux consommateurs de
s'y adapter ou pas et de les éliminer ou pas de leur
alimentation en fonction de la valeur nutritionnelle, de l'éventuelle
toxicité,de la pression environnementale et
culturale. Des
équilibres se sont installés peu à peu ,la
sélection naturelle,quoi.
Dans le cas des OGM,le recul
est insuffisant. La meilleure preuve provient des inquiétudes
de certains scientifiques qui commencent à se faire jour. La
lecture du Lancet ainsi que l'affaire Pusztai sont édifiantes.
Sans rien y connaitre,on sent bien qu'il y a quelque chose de pas
clair.
D'autre part,la mise au point du gène Terminator
interpelle comme on dit.Ce gène est destiné à
produire des semences stériles de façon à ce que
les agriculteurs soient toujours obligés d'acheter de
nouvelles semences.
Ca me paraît personnellement
révoltant.Un nouvel exemple de la guerre alimentaire et de la
mise sous dépendance de l'alimentation. Voir le dossier de
Courrier International sur Monsanto traduit de The Ecologist. Encore
des bonnes âmes écolos! La fuite de gènes dans la
nature est une éventualité à ne pas écarter
avec des conséquences pour le moins fâcheuses(pour ne
pas faire de catastrophisme écolo)
Les effets
allergénisants directs ou croisés dûs à la
synthèse de nouvelles protéines ne sont pas très
bien connus me semble-t-il. Ca fait beaucoup de différences
justifiant l'utilisation du principe de précaution dans les
conditions décrites par un des intervenants cette semaine
(P.Boutet).

Tout a fait d'accord pour prendre des précaution,
mais d'accord sur les semences stériles, car a ma connaissance
c'est déja le cas des hybrides vendus depuis pas mal de temps
et qui ont fait la fortune, LEGITIME, des créateurs de plantes
plus productives. Chacun veut bénéficier du produit de
son travail, il est donc légitime que les chercheurs, (dans
les société il y a à la base des hommes qui
travaillent) garantissent leurs revenus. Ne faisons pas de
tiermondisme à l'envers car sans les nouvelles espèces
mise en culture, les petits chinois, indiens et autre mourraient
encore de faim
comme c'était le cas il y a peu.
Cela dit
je ne suis pas pour faire n'importe quoi, mais on a les moyens
scientifique d'expérimenté, on peut et on doit aller
vite car il faut faire face à la montée démographique
et je ne pense pas quece sont nos écolos repus qui seront les
première victimes.
Maintenant il est aussi possible de
vendre TRES CHER les nouvelles semences à nos agriculteur pour
éviter les surplus en diminuant la rentabilité et de
vendre A TRES BAS PRIX les semences aux pays pauvres, c'est quand
même mieux que de les laisser crever de faim avec nos bons
sentiments en prime.
